Practise
The best ways to practise Jujitsu are to:
-
Join a class and receive tutoring. This is often the case for anyone that wants to learn Jujitsu and get graded. It is also offered in a safe environment
with instructors that are training in teaching and will surely help you to become the best Jujitsu practitioner you can.
-
Drill. Drilling is when you (and possibly a partner) practise a certain set of moves over and over again until it is "drilled" into your head.
By doing this, you can improve speed at executing the moves and improve your stamina at the same time. This method will also increase your level of accuracy, depending on the move.
-
Think. The name Jujitsu has two meanings, with the first part "Ju" (literally meaning "gentle"/"soft") meaning the way technique is applied and the understanding of the art a person has, in terms
of a much lesser force overcoming a much larger force. Therefore it's important that a fighter thinks about the way that they use their techniques and how they might adapt to a certain situation if something doesn't go their way.
This is often the case when another person is involved and the person to succeed will be the person that adapts the fastest and applies their techniques
correctly (and at the correct time).
